StandWatch Trip: Overview

Today, me and my three roommates woke up at three thirty in the morning to have time to go to the airport for our flight. Once we got to the airport we stopped to eat breakfast, and then waited until it was time for our flight. While we were waiting, we all talked and realized how much fun we truly had on this trip. We got to see many parts of America that many people are not fortunate enough to see or visit, because of this, we were all very grateful to have the chance to go on a trip like this.

I hate to have to see this very fun and inspirational trip come to an end, but I have learned many things that come with being a leader. First, to be a leader, one has to be very flexible with their schedule. You never know what may happen or go wrong, just like when we found the couple in the desert. Our leaders showed us that when faced with trying times, you have to be able to step up and help others in trying times to be a proper and efficient leader.

I also learned that to be a leader, you have to be able to make decisions on your own that you feel will benefit everyone, even if some people don’t agree with your decision. To be a proper leader you have to be able to not let others affect your decisions or make you feel as if you made the wrong decision. A leader has to step up and make decisions for themselves that they feel will help everyone.

Overall, this trip was a very fun time and I am very glad and fortunate I was able to come. The trip was very eye opening and showed me how to truly be a proper leader.
