Austin Creel

School: Marshall University

Austin Creel is a college student from Parkersburg, W. Va. He’s studied journalism, enjoys interviewing people, making videos and writing scripts. He also co-hosts a podcast or two!

Anthony Greene

School: Marshall University

Anthony Greene (b. 1997, West Virginia, USA) is a filmmaker located in Huntington, West Virginia. His work often explores Appalachian culture and struggles, as seen in his short documentaries Sugar Bottom Bees, Image, and 55 United. His work in documentary filmmaking has led to him being awarded the Outstanding Documentary Filmmaker Award by the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Marshall University.

Shelby Hudson

School: Marshall University

Shelby Hudson (b 1995, West Virginia. USA) is a Graphic Designer currently studying for her BFA at Marshall University with a minor in Ancient Greek. After graduating from Marshall she plans on eventually pursuing a Masters in Design (MDes) after building her portfolio and gaining a few years of work experience. Outside of design, her hobbies are music and photography.

Madeline Pinkerman (b 1998, Barboursville, WV) is a graphic designer currently studying in the school of Art and Design at Marshall University. Focusing primarily on typography, she is exploring the many facets and potential that design has to communicate. With this degree she plans on going into advertising.

Madeline Spangler (b. 1997, Maryland, USA) is a graphic designer located in Huntington, West Virginia who is currently studying in the school of Art and Design at Marshall University. She is also minoring in Advertising at Marshall University. Madi is mainly interested in experimenting with typography and layout design.

Megan Taylor

Megan Taylor (b. 1997, West Virginia, USA) is a graphic designer currently studying at Marshall University. Most of her design work has references to nature and illustration. After graduating, she wants to travel and find work where she can utilize her illustration and design skills to help the environment.

School: Marshall University

Hunter Way is a senior at Marshall, studying within the Video Production Major. Has worked on documentaries, directed and wrote a short film, and continues to produce ads, shorts, etc. He plans to continue this line of production for clients, self contained work, and collaborations within the near future.

Tijah Bumgarner

Daniel Dean

Assistant Professor Graphic Design/Digital Media

Daniel Dean teaches a range of courses that span new media, theory and digital design, as well as video and motion graphics courses that are integral to programs in both visual art and video production. His work combines aspects of new media, sculpture, and design, alongside a critical interrogation of contemporary technology, and has been shown nationally and internationally at venues such as the Soap Factory, Weisman Art Museum, the Beijing Film Academy, and ZKM in Germany. He engages regularly in collaborative work and is one of the core members of Futures North, a collaborative design, fabricate, and build team, whose work has been commissioned by such notable organizations as Northern Spark and is regularly supported by significant public art grants.
